About Our CloudUtil tools

Over the years we built a portfolio of open source tools mainly geared towards cost optimization, automating some repeatable patterns we see in our customer engagements.

We make supported builds of these tools available on the AWS Marketplace, for a small percentage of the generated savings, mainly geared towards small and medium companies.

Since these are tested in advance and stable at the time of the release, we can support them at scale with relatively low effort.

Support

We’ve seen that many of our largest clients would prefer to run the Open Source code on their own.

This offers opportunities for customization to satisfy their particular requirements, increased flexibility, and allows them to avoid the Pay as you Go/Grow costs of the Marketplace builds.

We can now offer comprehensive support plans tailored for our largest customers, which can include supporting deployments at massive scale, bug fixing, public feature development and building private customizations.

Custom licensing

Our Open Source tools are also made available under the OSL-3 OSI-approved Open Source License, which has certain requirements that make it unsuitable for certain large companies, in particular the requirement to publish changes as open source software.

For such cases we can re-license our tools under a custom commercial software license tailored to their Open Source compliance requirements.
